Mother Nature made up for the terrible year she's been handing us when it comes to flying...IN A BIG, BIG WAY TODAY!

We couldn't have asked for a better day to show our gratitude to our friends and neighbors, and to honor our past President Bud Trapp.

The burgers and dogs were cooked to perfection by Master Chef Ron S, and when you add in the fixings, salads, desserts, soda, water, chips, etc. no one could say there wasn't anything to eat. Thanks to the folks who made the homemade dishes to pass, they all went over well.

Thanks to our good buddy Carlos for putting on the airshow with his TCraft....I've got some nice video I'm trying to figure out how to get to everyone, but the size of the files are pretty big. If you go to our website and click on pictures you will be taken to our Flickr account where you will find an album titled, 2019 Club Picnic, which contains photos from our field cam and my IPhone of today's event. If you have any pictures you'd 'care to share' by all means email them to me and I'll add them to the album.

Thanks to all you pilots for bringing such a wide assortment of aircraft to fly....the visitors loved them one and sure was nice to hear some 'old-school nitro burners' too.

It was nice to see our landlady and her family. I thanked her for the continued support she and her family provide to the Kishwaukee RC Flyers and she said, "My husband always enjoyed these events and was happy to have you all using the land"

We'll be discussing changing the date for our picnic to avoid conflicting with the Corn Festival in DeKalb for next years' picnic....not sure but think the Saturday we'll be shooting for will be August 29th, but don't hold me to that until we confirm the Corn Fest.

Thanks to everyone
